MG2 is looking for a talented Principal-in-Charge to lead our Irvine office. This is a unique opportunity to provide transformational leadership to the firm and make a lasting impact within the Commercial market.

MG2 serves clients around the globe from four offices: Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; Washington, DC and Shanghai.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an ambassador for the firm by visibly leading internally and externally
  • Play a large role in providing professional leadership and cultural identity to the firm
  • Play a critical role in advancement of the firm’s business
  • Successfully lead and grow a book of work / client base
  • Secure contracts, financial performance of team, and payment for work performed
  • Maintain and grow client relationships on projects and opportunities
  • Own risk management for the office by demonstrating strong understanding of contractual risks and successfully negotiating for firm’s interests
  • Lead, mentor, and grow project managers and project staff
  • Responsibility for staffing decisions for the Irvine office
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership of the firm

Requirements:

  • Established credentials in the industry and be regarded as an industry leader
  • 20+ years, with majority of experience in Commercial projects and at least 5 years managing a team
  • Retail experience a plus
  • Current architectural registration
  • Proven ownership of client or account acquisition and leadership
  • Demonstrated focus on effectively leading and advocating for others
  • Established as a firm-wide and external business community leader
  • Must have portfolio of built work in the Commercial market (Retail also preferred)
  • Ability to bring in and close new business
  • Proven ability to balance business performance with architectural delivery
